WATERLOO - Catherine Katy Staudt, 76, of Waterloo died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Waterloo, daughter of Dr. Alfred J. and Ruth M. Sours Staudt.

She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1947 and attended St. Catherines College in St. Paul. She worked at Sears in Waterloo for 30 years in advertising and personnel departments.

Survived by a brother, Jim (Marilu) Staudt of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; a sister, Annette (David) Cook of Apple Valley, Minn.; seven nephews, John (Sue) Staudt, Pat (Chris) Staudt, Mike (Sherry) Staudt, Bob Staudt, Dr. Mark Cook, Bill (Tammy) Everett and Rick (Eleanor) Everett; and four nieces, Terri (Chris) Johlie, Mary Everett, Katie Vouk and Kelly (Greg) Cecchettini.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janice (Richard) Everett.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Mulberry, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
