HUDSON - Raymond W. Johnson, 99, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Hudson, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

He was born April 5, 1906, in Farnam, Neb., son of John and Agnes Stouffer Johnson. He married Vesta Faulkner Olson on June 22, 1945, in Hudson. She died Jan. 8, 1994.

Mr. Johnson was self-employed as a handyman and carpenter. He also worked part time for Hudson schools as a bus driver in the 1950s and 1960s.

Survivors include: a stepson, Cecil (Jan) Olson of Belle Plaine, Minn.; a daughter-in-law, Mary (Roger) Flann of Pasadena, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, John; a grandson; two sisters, Edna Sparks and Viola Jensen; and a brother, Clifford.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
