CEDAR FALLS - Jared D. Trimble, 20, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1993, in Waterloo, son of Darin and Annette Matthias Trimble. Jared graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 2012 and currently attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a teacher assistant in the Earth and Environmental Science Department.

Survived by his parents of Cedar Falls; a sister, Kaitlin Trimble of Cedar Falls; his fiancee, Jordan Derhammer of Cedar Falls; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Mary Matthias of Readlyn; and paternal grandparents, David and Donna Trimble of Fairbank.

Preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Carol Matthias.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society, the Earth Science Department at UNI or the National Tiger Sanctuary in Chestnutridge, Mo.
