PEARL CITY, Ill. -- William Fredrick Eaton, 50 years old, of Pearl City, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, in his home.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1964, in Cedar Falls, the son of William and Lorna (Douglas) Eaton. He was a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor of science in industrial engineering. He married Laura Bickel on Sept. 8, 1990, in Martelle.

He was employed at Honeywell as a manufacturing engineer. William was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pearl City, active in Boy Scouts, Village Trustee, Venturing Crew and Pearl City Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; son Aaron; mother Lorna Douglas Eaton; brother Michael (Kathy) Eaton; sister Susan (Michael) Schlumbohm; in-laws Clifford and Judy Bickel; brothers-in-law Stan Bickel, Randy (Deb) Bickel and Mike Bickel; and nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

William is preceded by his father.

Services will be on Wednesday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Pearl City, with the Rev. Brian LeBaron officiating. Visitation will be today, April 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Pearl City. A memorial has been established in his memory. Arrangements are being handled by the Offenheiser-Schwarz Funeral Home, Pearl city.
