CEDAR FALLS - David E. Carlson, 38, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2005, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident near New Hartford.

He was born May 30, 1963, in Cedar Falls, son of Robert and Doris Kalkwarf Carlson. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1983 and had been employed at Cedar Falls High School for the past 17 years as head of maintenance on the second shift.

Survived by his parents of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Gary of Waverly and Ricky of Ackley; and a sister, Teri Kouri of Cedar Falls.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, temporarily located at 204 W. Seerley Blvd., Cedar Falls, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
