Mark Alan Lindeman, 58, of Dysart, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a sudden illness.

He was born April 22, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Myron and Ione Cafferty Lindeman. He married Kris Catron on June 15, 1974, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Traer.

Mr. Lindeman graduated from high school in Dysart in 1971. He worked at John Deere and Co., Gray Iron and later Swifts in Marshalltown for 20 years.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Michael (Laurie) and Jason (Keli); a daughter, Jacqueline Lindeman (Noah Cripe); seven grandchildren, Zach, Jason, Ashley, Hailey, Jade, Chase and Hunter; and two brothers, Paul (Donna) Lindeman of Dysart and Dean Spencer of Rockwell City.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: Private family services and burial will be at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home, Dysart.

A memorial fund is being established.

Mark loved his family very much and spent most of his retirement with his wife "Krises" as he referred to her, his kids and grandkids. He loved to fish, hunt and trap, and above all, he loved camping with his family.
