HUDSON - Edward C. Franck, 94, of Waldron, Ark., formerly of Hudson, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Waldron Nursing Center of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 9, 1910, in Billings, Mo., son of Charles and Mary Conley Franck. He married Vivian K. Strickland on Feb. 8, 1936, in San Diego. She died Nov. 26, 1996.

Mr. Franck graduated from Hudson High School in 1929. He was owner/operator of a truck, hauling mainly grain and livestock in the Hudson area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Homer, Hal, Carl and Raymond; and a sister, Grace Holmes.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Hudson Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
