Cedar Falls—Frank O'Dell, 71, 1003 Walnut Street, was found dead at his residence Thursday morning by Harvey P. Baird who lives next door and who became suspicious when O'Dell was not seen around the premises as usual.

Dr. E. C. McMillan, of Hudson, coroner, was called. No formal inquest was held but the opinion of the coroner was that O'Dell had fallen down the stairs and died by the shock. Inquiry among the neighbors disclosed that O'Dell had been in a weakened condition the, last week and it is thought that he suffered a heart attack and started to go down stairs when the fall occurred.

Mr. O'Dell has been a resident of Cedar Falls for many years and was until a few years ago employed by the city street department. Since the death of his sister in 1925 he had been living along.

He is survived by three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Euretta Davis, Ackley, Iowa; Mrs. Edith McGowen, Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Hattie E. McGowen, Friendship, Wis., and Alexander E. O'Dell of Pasco, Wash.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
