WATERLOO - Gary Lee Reed, 58, of Ottumwa, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Ottumwa Regional Hospital.

He was born June 18, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Floyd and Maggie McCabe Reed. He married Dianne Malone, and they later divorced.

Mr. Reed was employed as a truck driver.

Survived by two sisters, Mary (Don) Klingsmith and Alice Weisse, both of Waterloo; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee II; four brothers, John, LeRoy, Orville and George; and three sisters, Dorothy Weekley, Barbara Hen and Betty McCann.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
