WATERLOO - Margaret Ann Mennenga, 82, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Chickasaw County, daughter of Thomas and Mamie Kelly Murphy. She married Lawrence Mennenga on June 21, 1952, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Mennenga was a homemaker, past secretary of the Waterloo Women's Bowling Association and a member of St. Edward Church.

Survived by her husband; and two sons, Al (Cindy) of Waterloo and Ron (Ann) of Ellington, Conn.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and Ray Murphy; and a sister, Mary Murphy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
