CEDAR FALLS - George A. Levendusky, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterville, Minn., died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born July 10, 1918, in Buchanan County, son of Anton and Elsie Necker Levendusky. He married Grace Saunders Ticknor on May 1, 1946, at St. Johns Catholic Church, Waterloo. She died Sept. 10, 2004.

Mr. Levendusky attended Buchanan County Country School. He worked on the loading dock at Rath Packing Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; was a former member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Waterville; was a co-founder of Waterville Senior Citizen Center in 1980; and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Waterville Sportsman Club.

Survivors include a son, Donald (Helen) Ticknor of Waterloo; three brothers, Venice (Mildred) Levendusky of Cedar Falls, Lawrence (Nancy) of Waterloo and Clair (Carol) of Fairbank; a sister-in-law, Pat Necker of Fairbank; five grandchildren, Cindy (Scott) Buck, Larry (Paula) Ticknor, Dawn (Steve) Lowe and Tina Ticknor, all of Waterloo; special grandson, Jakob Groene of Denmark; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Pat Necker of Fairbank.

Preceded in death by a sister, Mary Levendusky; and two brothers, Louis Levendusky and Willis Necker.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a 4:30 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to Western Home Communities or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
