WATERLOO - Mary Leta Fauser, 86, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center of congestive heart failure.

She was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Oelwein, daughter of Rufus Victor and Nevada Webster Hines. She married Max A. Fauser on July 10, 1938, and they were later divorced.

Ms. Fauser worked at Wilsons, Oelwein, then worked 25-plus years as head cook at Waterloo westside Maid Rite. She retired and moved back to Oelwein where she worked part time at Transco.

Survived by two daughters, Connie L. (Richard "Rick") Henkle of Evansdale and Linda L. (Robert) Morgan of Waterloo; four sons, Max L. and Robert D. (Jill), both of Waterloo, Ronald M. (Nancy) of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Richard D. (Jane) of Cedar Falls; 16 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Markley of Hawkeye.

Preceded in death by a sister, Wanda L. Doty; and three brothers, Dell, Alvin and Harold Hines.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 207 W. Louise St., Waterloo, with burial at approximately 1:15 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
