WATERLOO - Carter Allen Westergreen, 26-day-old son of John (formerly of Waterloo) and Andrea Westergreen, died June 29, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines.

He was born June 3, 2005.

Survivors include his parents of West Des Moines; a brother, Gavin Merchant; grandparents, Elizabeth and Randy Merchant, Tim and Deb Westergreen and Cindy and John Runnells; great-grandparents, Dean and Shirley Rowley, Dale and Bea Hoofnagle, and Donna Merchant; and great-great-grandmother, Esther Lingerfelt.

Preceded in death by great-grandparents, Norma Tilghman, Jerome Westergreen, Virgil Rich, Max Merchant and Timothy Wood.

Services were Tuesday at Our Ladys Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Ankeny, with burial in Franklin Township Cemetery. Ankeny Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
