LA PORTE—Services for Clifford O. McBride, 81, of 106 Sycamore St., who died Tuesday afternoon at Americana Health Care Center, Waterloo, of complications of a stroke, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial in West View Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 27, 1900, in La Porte City, son of George Emery and Ida Mae Rodman McBride. He married Eva Francis Goddard Sept. 30, 1922, at Nashua.

He farmed until 1949 and then did construction work until his retirement in 1972.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Junior L. McBride of La Porte City; a daughter; Erlene J. McBride of La Porte City; three sisters, Iliff Fordyce of Little Falls. Minn., Katherine Baldwin of Vinton and Martha Neufield of Waterloo; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Huisman-Dykeman Chapel until 9 p.m. Thursday.
