WATERLOO - Ruthe E. Lamb, 96, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born July 27, 1910, in Lucas County, daughter of William and Mabel Lyman Blanchard. She married Myron Lamb on Oct. 17, 1929, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1997.

Mrs. Lamb worked as a cashier for the Black's Department Store for 25 years, retiring in 1973.

Survived by a son, Calvin (Marlys) of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Kay Hemmer; three brothers, Gerald, Edwin and Lyman Blanchard; and two sisters, Jane Mahoney and Evelyn Spindler.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial before the service at 10 a.m. in the mausoleum in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the family.
