LA PORTE CITY — Ralph L. Lesh, 63, of 300 N. Spruce St., died at his home Sunday, Dec. 15, 1991, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born June 12, 1928, in New London, son of William H. and Elva A. Leach Lesh. He married Dorothy J. Pettengill on Dec. 19, 1953, in Vinton She died Dec. 23, 1987.

Mr. Lesh served in the U.S. Navy during World War n and was employed at Deere & Co., retiring in 1990.

Survivors include three sons, Rocky and Rod, both of La Porte City, and Bill of Bentonville, Ark.; three daughters, Jo Ruggles of La Porte City, Jeanne Bagenstos of Waterloo and Jenine Ratliff of Roxana, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Jack of La Porte City; and a sister, Billie Hilgenburg of Ocala, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Hank.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by La Porte City American Legion San Diego Post 207. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Huisman Funeral Home and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
