LK RUN HEIGHTS - Robert Max Morgan, 74, of Elk Run Heights, died at home Sunday, May 29, 2005 of emphysema.

He was born May 20, 1931, in Waterloo, son of Harold and AnnaMarie Schlueter Morgan. He married Maria E. Giordano in 1965 in Galena, Ill. She died in 1998.

Mr. Morgan was employed as a tool grinder by John Deere & Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Roseann Fitzgerald of Elk Run Heights; two brothers, Merlin of Delhi and Harold (Lana) of Waterloo; and a sister, Charmaine (Leonard) Maar of Waterloo.

Private services and inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, at a later date. There will be no visitation. Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
