WATERLOO - Josephine "Jo" C. Stark, 103, of Friendship Village, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1905, in Bellevue, daughter of Leo and Anna Groos Deichelbohrer. She married Glenn S. Stark on July 17, 1941, in Dubuque. He died Feb. 12, 1961.

She graduated from high school in Onalaska, Wis., and then received her teaching certificate from the South Dakota Normal School. She was office manager at the Illinois Central Railroad Employees Credit Union for more than 20 years, retiring in 1967.

Survived by a son, James (Louise) pf Goliad, Texas; and a sister, Cecelia Koll of West Salem, Wis.

Preceded in death by an infant son; five brothers; and five sisters

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery, with burial prior to services in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home.
