WATERLOO - Debra Vae Niedermann, 51, of Waterloo, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Allen Hospital following complications of heart surgery.

She was born June 14, 1954, daughter of William and Arden Smith Murray. She married Cecil Poyner on Dec. 16, 1972, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. She married Rick Niedermann on Dec. 4, 2004, in Raymond.

Mrs. Niedermann was employed with the Waterloo Greyhound Park from the time it opened until it closed. She was then employed with Principal Financial and currently with the Waterloo Community School District.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nicole (Kevin) Bock of Belmond; three sons, Christopher (Michelle) Poyner, Wade (Amanda) Poyner and Mike Niedermann, all of Waterloo; two grandsons, Brady and Dylan Bock; a sister Diane (John) Weepie of Mora, Minn.; and four nieces, Layla Sommerlot, Jennifer Irvin, Erin Langenwalter and Allison Langenwalter.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
