WATERLOO - Warner Lyle Anderson, 86, of the Atlanta area, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 5, 2006.

He was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Minnesota to Gustof Adolph and Grace Teare Anderson. He married his wife, Jean Christensen Anderson, and she preceded him in death Aug. 28, 2002.

He served in the Army during World War II and after returning to Waterloo became a design engineer for Chamberlain Corp. In 1961 he was transferred to Monroe, Ga., to start a new Chamberlain Corp. plant, and he later was transferred to the plant in Albia.

Survived by a son, Dr. Dennis (Anngray Doig) of Hopkinton, Mass.; a daughter, Cheryl (the Rev. Donald E.) Wagner of Woodstock, Ga.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John of Waterloo; and a sister, Ruby Eggers of Waterloo.

Memorial services 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, Roswell, Ga., with burial in Cherokee National Cemetery, Canton, Ga., at a later date.
