Wallace D. McMillan, 56, of 820 Jefferson St., died at Oakdale
Sanatorium, Oakdale, Iowa, at 11:15 p.m. Thursday of tuberculosis. He had been a patient there about 2½ years.

Mr. McMillan was born Oct. 28, 1897, at Maquoketa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert L. McMillan. He moved to Waterloo in 1907 and attended East side schools.

On Mar. 18, 1925, Mr. McMillan married Inez V. Bing at Cedar Rapids.

He was employed at the Rath Packing Co. in the lard room for about 2½ years until he became ill in 1951. Prior to that, he had worked at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works during World War II. Mr. McMillan and his wife also had handled concessions at various fairs for many years.

Mr. McMillan joined the Lutheran church while he was at Oakdale.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Frank Smith, 115 Lindale Ave.; one son, Danny, 10, living at 1719 Dowling Ave.; two brothers, 0. N. and M. S. McMillan, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending arrangements at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel.

Funeral services for Wallace D. McMillan, 56, of 826 Jefferson St., will be Monday at 10 a. m. at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. The Rev. Charles F. Jacobs, pastor of First Congregational Church, will officiate, and buiral will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. McMillan died Thursday at Oakdale of tuberculosis.
