Graveside services for Lorraine Lauer Strauss, 61, of Pacifica, Calif., formerly of Waterloo, were Saturday at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo, Calif. She died at home Friday (Jan. 22, 1988) after a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 1, 1927, in Waterloo, daughter of Arthur and Helen Rathe. She married Frank Lauer Oct. 27,1945, in Waterloo. They were divorced. She married Jerry Strauss June 28,1984, in Pacifica.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Logan of Palo Alto, Calif., and Cindy Lauer of Waterloo; a son, Steven Lauer of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Dorothy Dines of Rio Rancho, N. M.,
and Esther Michaelsen of Dunkerton; three brothers, Harry Rathe of La Porte City, Dick Rathe of Evansdale and Tom Rathe of Eldora; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy; and two sisters.

Dutra-Randleman Funeral Home, Half Moon Bay, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
