William A. "Bill” Lowe, 84, of Reinbeck, died at home Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014.

He was born May 15, 1929, in Waterloo, son of Lyman and Ruth Lowe. He married Jane Campbell on May 28, 1949, at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.

Bill graduated from the Cedar Falls High School in 1946. He began working for Moeller & Walter Inc. in 1951 and eventually became owner and president of the company, retiring in 1984. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Reinbeck; was a Reinbeck volunteer fireman for 25 years, and was captain of the Grundy County Sheriff's Reserves for 20 years.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Deb (Bill) Creswell of Roscoe, Ill.; a son, Scott W. (Susan de Surrency) of Reinbeck; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Reinbeck, with burial in Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck.
