WATERLOO -- Zetta Yvonne Nielsen, 88, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Holstein, daughter of John and Lillie Wiese Rohlk. She married Arnold Nielsen on April 20, 1947, in Triopli.

Zetta graduated from Highview High School. She went to business school in Omaha, Neb., and worked at Construction Machinery, Waterloo. She then worked as a supervisor at Schoitz and worked at Covenant Medical Center in sterile supply, retiring after 29 years. She also volunteered and was on many committees, especially at Trinity Lutheran and Ascension Lutheran Church.

Survived by her husband; a son, Gregory (Susan) of Waterloo; a daughter, Diane (Jim) Hinke of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Hillary (Eric) Anniss, Bryce (Lindsay) Nielsen, and Lucas and Jared Hinke; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth (Janice) Rohlk of Alta, John (Connie) Rohlk of Spirit Lake and Gary Rohlk of Sun City West, Ariz.; and four sisters, Jeanette (Frank) Trimble of Storm Lake, Phyllis (Larry) Craig of Shenandoah, Joelle (Branch) Verhoef of Ohio and Jane (Rich) Adams of Dickens.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Eldon, Bob and Jim Rohlk; and a sister, Orpha Binder.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
