WALTER (DUTCH) LAZEMBY

Walter (Dutch) Lazemby, 73, of Rt. 3 died at 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Hospital due to complications following surgery.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, with the Rev. Drexel V. Mollison, associate pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 6, 1898, in Black Hawk County, the son of Thomas and Carrie Graham Lazemby. He married Mary E. Finch Sept. 1, 1921, at Manchester. He farmed in Black Hawk County most of his life, and was a member of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include a son, George of Rt. 3; two daughters, Miss Ruth Lazemby of Rt. 3 and Mrs. Marjorie Kleinendorst of 525 Home Park Blvd., and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters and a brother.
