Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Zion American Lutheran Church for Marshall Burr McCord, 66, of 703 Denver St., who died Wednesday morning at his home of a heat attack.

He was born Feb. 12, 1900, in Waverly, the son of Carey and Rose Wheeler McCord. He married Minnie J. Knutson on June 30, 1921, at West Union.

Mr. McCord had been employed by the Davidson Furniture store until 1963. For the past three years he had been custodian at the courthouse. He had been employed by Davidsons for 35 years. He was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church, Waterloo Lodge No. 105, A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Merrill of 925 Forest Ave.; two daughters, Mrs. Donald L. Acuff of 1315 W. Fourth St.; Mrs. Gerold Tjaden of Rt. 2, Clarksville; sixteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three sons.

Friends who wish may give memorials in the name of Mr. McCord to the Zion American Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Zion American Lutheran Church for Marshall Burr McCord, 66, of 703 Denver St., who died Wednesday morning at his home. The Rev. La Verne Kampfe, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Waterloo Lodge No. 5, A. F. & A. M. will open Lodge at 7 p.m. Friday for the purpose of conducting Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 11:30 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon time until shortly before service time. The casket will not be opened following the service.
