Joleen A. Waller Siebert, 61, of Wellsburg, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, after a lengthy illness with esophageal cancer.

She was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Waterloo, daughter of Dean and Floris Peters Waller. She married Neal Siebert on Aug. 21, 1971, in Cedar Falls.

Joleen earned her bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1979 and her master's degree in communications and training technology in 2004, both from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. She worked at Viking Pump Co., Cedar Falls, for 30 years, beginning as a distributor and customer support representative, then as supervisor of customer support. She then moved into designing and coordinating and conducting onsite technical training for internal support and distributor representatives as well as overseeing the construction and distribution of product catalog information.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Beth (Dale Hackwell) Siebert and Missie Siebert; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Scott (Mary) and Perry (Deb) Waller.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with inurnment at a later date in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
