RAGSDALE, BECK, SAM, SMITH

Floyd C. Ragsdale, 58, former resident of Waterloo, died of a heart attack Monday noon in Michigan City, Ind., according to word received by relative here.

He was born in 1887 in Indiana and when a young man came to Waterloo and was employed at the Iowa Dairy Co. He married Mrs. Alma Beck on April 2, 1912, in Waterloo and the couple resided here until 1821 when they moved to Sumner, Iowa, and later to Michigan City.

Surviving are his wife in Michigan City; two sons, Douglas and Eugene, now serving overseas in the armed forces, and a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Sam, of Gary, Ind. Also surviving are his mother; a sister and five grandchildren, all of Indiana.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Beck, 1151 Columbia Street, the former of whom is a stepson of Mrs. Ragsdale, and Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Smith, 917 Newton Street, the former a brother of Mrs. Ragsdale, left Monday evening for Michigan City to attend the funeral services.
