WATERLOO - Ethel M. Wahl, 94, of Waterloo, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 5, 1911, in Cherokee, daughter of Thomas and Etta Mae Kennedy Dawson. She married Raymond E. "Ray" Wahl on Sept. 5, 1940, in Raton, N.M. He died June 21, 1994.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She and Ray also enjoyed golfing. The family enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include three nephews, Robert "Bob" (Carol) Goodrich of New Hartford, Jim (Shirley) Goodrich of Duluth, Minn., and Richard Stempke of Minneapolis; and a niece, Linda (Bob) Youde of McCall, Idaho.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Karla Wahl; and two sisters, Mabel Arenholz and Gladys Stempke.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
