Services for Leonard Burnside, 35, of 427 Rieker St., were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rosehill Church of Christ. The Rev. J. C. Curry officiated and burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge. Mr. Burnside died Monday in Waterloo of a heart condition.

He was born in Sallis, Miss., Feb. 10, 1934, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Burnside, Sr. He married Lily McGinnis June 12, 1900, in Creston, Minn.

He is survived by his parents, widow, four children, Carla, Linda, Marie and Timothy Burnside, and four stepchildren, Theresa, Craig, Terry and Gloria McGinnis, a sister, Mrs. Katherine Walker, 810 N. Barclay St., and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Burnside, Kosciusko, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
