Services will be Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio, for Jerome (Jerry) Council, 49, a former Waterloo resident.

He was born in Conrad on Aug. 11, 1919, the son of Thomas and Margaret Council. Before moving to Toledo, where he married Marcella Mauler in June of 1946, he was an employee of the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his widow; his mother of 115 Morgan Rd.; two sons; nine daughters; three brothers, Richard of 2505 Barton Ave., his twin, Joseph of 536 Alpine Dr., and Russ of 3714 Loralin Dr.; and five sisters, Mrs. Berwyne C. Wood of 1412 Pleasant Valley Dr., Mrs. Ruth Anne Holzgove of Detroit Lakes, Minn., Mrs. Rose Marie Price of 1126 Leavitl St., and Mrs. Glen F. Johnson of Des Moines.
