WATERLOO - Alice S. Wolfensperger, 82, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at ManorCare Health Systems.

She was born March 9, 1923, in Raymond, daughter of Herman and Hilda Harting Weltzin. On July 10, 1945, she married Robert G. Wolfensperger in Waterloo. He died Oct. 27, 2004.

Mrs. Wolfensperger had been employed at Varsity Cleaners as a counter clerk for seven years, retiring in 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Perry G. (Audrey) of Waverly and Charles D. (Tim) of Clean Lakes Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Vicki R. (Jim) Omundson of Bondurant and Barb J. (Gary) Carlson of Raymond; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many special long-time friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Karl Weltzin; and a grandson, Bryon Wolfensperger.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Her body has been deeded to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Alzheimer Association or Multiple Sclerosis Association, in lieu of flowers.
