WATERLOO - Eva M. Hoeppner, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Waterloo, daughter of Loren "Shorty" and Elsie Converse. She married Eldon Hoeppner on Feb. 14, 1947. He preceded her in death.

She was employed with Venda Foods for many years, retiring due to health problems.

Survived by two sons, Dennis (Kelli) of Cedar Falls and Kenny of Waterloo; a daughter, Tami (Mark) Barclay of Arizona; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Smith; two brothers, Junior and Walter Converse; two sisters, Anna Prohaska and Hilda Schneck; and a grandson, Joshua Hoeppner.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
