CEDAR FALLS—Services for Clarence B. Hess, 84, of Lawn City Nursing Home, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Hess died at Sartori Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon of complications of pneumonia.

Born the son of Albert and Mary Jane Markham Hess, Sept. 24, 1889, he married Bernice Ray at Cresco. She preceded him in death. He married Margaret M. Hough at Osage May 11, 1925.

He was a veteran of World War I and is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Alice Arnold, 2104 College St.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home and at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
