WATERLOO - Margaret "Peggy" Ames, 63, of Waterloo, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Oct. 19, 1944, in Waukon, daughter of Theodore and Viola Tierney Kriener. She married Donald E. Ames on Aug. 5, 1967, in Waterloo.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Scott (Julie) of Waterloo and Bob (Angie) of Cedar Falls; four granddaughters, Marissa, Madison, Morgan and Mallory; a sister, ElMarie Warrens of Waterloo; and a brother, Paul (Leola) Kriener of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Kenneth, Charles, Arnold and Donald.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Peggy was a loving and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, shop and spend many hours in her beautiful gardens. With her boundless energy she enjoyed spoiling and playing with her granddaughters and taking care of her family.
