WATERLOO - Beulah A. "Boots" Duggan, 89, of Waterloo, died Saturday April 19, 2008m, at Rosewood Estates of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Eagle Center, daughter of Arthur and May Cavanaugh Klein. She married Roy Duggan on June 1, 1940. He died Feb. 28, 2002.

Mrs. Duggan was owner/operator of Boots Beauty Salon for many years.

Survived by two sons, Dennis "Denny" (fiancee Cheryel Stevenson) of Waterloo and Desmond "Desi" (Laara) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Susan (Dwight) Dehl of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; a brother in-law, Larry (LaVonne) Duggan of Waterloo; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Ray Weber; a grandson, Mackenzie Dehl; two sisters Vivian (Richard) O'Donnell and Garnetta (John) Kortemeyer; and four brothers, Michael (Viola), Emmett (Jean) and Vernon Klein, and James Klein in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

As a wife, sister, friend and mother, she brought love and joy to all who were fortunate to share in her amazing gift of happiness.
