WATERLOO - Robert Lawrence Himmes, 82, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born May 7, 1925, in Waterloo, son of Peter and Kathryn Daniels Himmes.

Mr. Himmes was employed with Michael Painting Co., Herricks, Waterloo Wood Products and KWWL.

Survived by a nephew, Thomas W. Campbell of Houston; and many cousins.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Himmes and Loretta Campbell.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Friday at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
