WATERLOO - Charlyne H. Pauley, 82, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center from complications of lymphocytic leukemia.

She was born March 1, 1926, on the family farm south of Dike, daughter of Cornelius J. and Emma Kauth Murphy. She married William L. Pauley on Dec. 26, 1950, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Pauley Charlyne graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1944.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Cynthia (Dennett Hutchcroft) Pauley of Iowa City and Susan (Mark Fettkether) Pauley of North Liberty; a daughter-in-law, Julie Pauley of North Oaks, Minn.; two grandsons, Will and Ned Hutchcroft; two brothers, Charles (Pat) Murphy of Dike and Joe (Ad) Murphy of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Helen Nardicchio of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey; and two sisters, Elizabeth Walbaum and Jane Johnson.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
