CEDAR FALLS - Harold T. Larsen, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at the Western Home Elizabeth Martin Center.

He was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Cedar Falls, son of John and Dagmar Nielsen Larsen. He married Helen S. King on Nov. 11, 1944, in Bend, Ore.

A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Larsen graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1938 and attended Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). Before his retirement in 1984, he worked for N.H. Hansen Construction and Jens Oleson Construction.

Survived by his wife; four sons, Rod of Cedar Falls, Ray (Mary Kay) of Waterloo, Richard (Carol) of Rockingham, N.C., and Robert (Patricia “Trish”) of Laurinburg, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Erna Larsen and Clara Anzinger.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Christian Crusaders and Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Harold was the longest living member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.
