WATERLOO - Bernard Earl Campbell, 90, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born Oct. 20, 1914, in Cerro Gordo County, son of Bernard Joseph and Kathleen Appolonia Fauett Campbell. He married Helen Youngblut July 3, 1952, in Waterloo. She died March 3, 1985.

Mr. Campbell was employed with Rath Packing Co., retiring in 1978.

Survived by two sons, Peter (Cathy) and Phillip (Diann), both of Waterloo; six daughters, Patricia of California, Pamela OConnor of South Carolina, Peggy (Lew) Hayes of Texas, Paula Jenkins of Connecticut, Polly Campbell of Ohio and Penny Campbell Collins of Colorado; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, James Leon and John Raymond.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
