Lois Ann Kruse, 74, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 1999 at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Dubuque, daughter of L. Welker and Annette Schepple Schaller. She married Dr. Rolf F. Kruse Sept. 30, 1950, in Cedar Falls. Mrs. Kruse worked for the county and city of Milwaukee as a bacteriologist for several years and for the state of Iowa for two years. She was past president of Chapter OJ of the P.E.O. and was also past president of the 19th Century Club.

Survived by her husband; a son, Kurt F. of Fort Dodge; a daughter, Christie Jungweber of Waterloo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn "Casey" Reynolds of Solvang, Calif.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Dr. Carol Jean Schaller and Dr. Catherine L. Covert.

Memorial services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, with private family burial prior to services at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Cedar Falls Library building fund.
