WATERLOO - John E. Fisher, 85, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, May 7, 2005, of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Clarksville, Mo., son of Elmer and Hattie M. Summers Fisher. He married Willie Lee Wheeler on June 13, 1952, in Rochester, Minn. She died May 22, 2004.

Mr. Fisher retired from John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works after 41 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Ted (Sarah) Keys and Johnie Lee Fisher, both of Waterloo; six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert Dorsey; and a sister, Janey E. Chapman.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday, all at the church. Garden View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church. The family will receive friends at 1117 Fulton St.
