CEDAR FALLS - A. Ed Miller, 93, formerly of 928 W. 13th St., and also of New Hartford, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 at the Grandview Care Center, Oelwein, of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 2, 1907, in Chicago, son of August P. and Anna Marie Jensen Miller. He married Catherine J. "Jo" Kroll on May 25, 1945, in Brownwood, Texas.

Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a shipping clerk with Universal Industries for many years, retiring in 1969.

Survived by his wife of Oelwein; a son, Tom A. of Hazleton; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Schwantes of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; six brothers, Bill, Lee, Charles, Erick, Howard and Henry; and four sisters, Minnie, Evelyn, Anna Marie and Adah.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Flag-folding rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil.

A memorial fund will be established.
