CEDAR FALLS - Claire F. Reese, 83, of Sterling House, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward J. and Bertha Klein Quinn. She married Leonard T. Reese on May 5, 1939, in Waterloo. He died May 19, 1991.

Survived by four daughters, Kay DeJaeger of Waterloo, Jacquie Reese of Rye, N.H., Camilla Briggs of Denmark, Iowa, and Bridget Daniel of St. Simons Island, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Quinn of Chatsworth, Calif.; and a sister, Louise Kirsch of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son, Jimmy P.; a daughter, Dorothy R. Edeker; a great-grandson; five brothers, Jim, Richard, Dale, Thomas, and Dr. John Quinn; and two sisters, Sue Kemp and Annette Wolff.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with entombment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
