WATERLOO - Mildred L. Broers, 90, formerly of 420 Oakland Ave., and of Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Dysart, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 at ManorCare Health Systems of natural causes.

She was born May 31, 1910, in Sac City, daughter of Martin and Mabel Peck McClung. She married George F. Broers on Dec. 1, 1946, in Waterloo. He died June 27, 1993.

Mrs. Broers taught country school in northwest Iowa for 10 years before moving to Waterloo. She was a division head and buyer for Sears Roebuck & Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1975.

Survived by two brothers, Russell of Phoenix and Forrest of Waterloo.

Private family services: will be Friday, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball.
