WATERLOO — Eldeen Elizabeth Hilton, 80, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at her daughter's home in Las Oswego, Ore., of natural causes.

She was bom April 27, 1918, in Waterloo, daughter Wilhelm and Minnie M. Aide Ferger. She married Luverne Hilton on Dec. 8, 1936. He died in 1981.

Mrs. Hilton had been employed in retail sales and had worked at Goldwater's (retail store). Scottsdale, Ariz., for 38 years.

Survived by three daughters, Nancy Hilton Zinsli and Bonnie Jean Zinsli, both of Lake Oswego, and Joan Tihanyi of Mesa. Ariz.; a son, Richard of Flagstaff, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Berry of Waterloo and Colleen Wright of St. Louis; and two brothers, James "Tim" Ferger of Carlton, Ore., and Bill Ferger of Scottsdale.

Private family services: 3 p.m. Saturday at Young's Funeral Home, Tigard, Ore., with private inurnment in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale.
