Ralph E. Kelley, 60, of Waterloo, formerly of Hoopeston, Illinois, died Monday, August 8, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Kelley was born November 8, 1944, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of Clarence and Bessie (Green) Kelley. He married Doris Jean Meador May 29, 1965.

Mr. Kelley graduated from Hoopeston High School and attended Danville Junior College. He worked for John Deere for 34 years, retiring December 31, 2001, as Director of Safety. Mr. Kelley is Past Exalted Ruler of Waterloo Elks Lodge # 290 and Past President of Cedarloo Lions Club.

Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife, Doris, of Waterloo and son, Eric Kelley, of Smoke Rise, Alabama. He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Celebration of Life Services will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ (1302 W. 11th St., Cedar Falls) where the family will greet friends for an hour before the services. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, August 16, in Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established for the benefit of children in the community. Locke Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
