CEDAR FALLS - Services for Mrs. Hazel Christine Smith, 77, of 624 Longview St., will be 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Wesleyan Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Mrs. Smith died Thursday night at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec, 16, 1903, at Albert Crossing, daughter of Thomas A. and HopaCoraLinn Prindle Fouts. She
married William A. Smith on May 10, 1921, at Marshalltown. He died in 1979. She was a charter member of Faith Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include four sons, Daniel of Houston, Texas, Richard of Denver, William A. Jr. of Dysart and Victor of Janesville; four daughters, Connie Tarr of 1710 Grand Blvd., Betty Platt of 1806 Lilac Lane, Marie Wheelock of 624 Longview St. and Karla Pike of the Cedar Knoll Mobile Home Park, Waterloo; three brothers, Thomas M. Fouts of 1114 Virginia St., Waterloo, Carl G. Fouts of Fort Worth, Texas, and John L. Fouts of Marshalltown; three sisters, Mamie Ellis of Marshalltown. Margaret Linn of 1802 Huntington Road, Waterloo, and Thelma Perry of Oelwein; 38 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel, Waterloo.

Memorials in her name may be made to the church.
