WATERLOO - Jerry L. Slater Jr., 44, of Moscow, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born Nov. 30, 1961, in Waterloo. He was employed at HON Geneva plant.

Survivors include a sister, Debra Slater of Waterloo; two brothers, Joel Slater of Montana and James Papach of Florida; two stepsons, Paul (Nicole) Murray of Tipton and Brady Murray (Angie Craven) of Nebraska; and 10 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Papach.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. today at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Bentley Funeral Homes, Inc., Durant, is in charge of arrangements.
