ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Art H. Erickson, 80, of 224 Sutton Ave., died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Integris Blackwell Regional Hospital, Blackwell, Okla., of a heart attack.

He was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Wendell County, Minn., son of Albert and Flora Larson Erickson. He married Vondean Groseclose on June 17, 1961, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale.

Mr. Erickson worked for Osmundson Implement in Wendell, Minn., then worked for Warren Transport as an owner/operator driver for 38 years, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Timothy of San Diego and Rob (Sue) of Ogden, Utah; two grandsons; and a foster son, Frank Torres of San Diego.

Preceded in death by a sister, Florence Walsh; and two brothers, Saxon and Ray Erickson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials: may be directed to the family for a fund to be established later.
